Ingredients:
- 2 Asian pears, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup of beer
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small saucepan, simmer the diced Asian pears with the beer over low heat until the pears are soft and the liquid has reduced. Let it cool.
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
4. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
5. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
7. Fold in the chocolate chips and the cooked Asian pears.
8. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
