Banana Foster Ice Cream Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup syrup
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 pint of vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 can condensed milk
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.
2. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and syrup over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Add the sliced bananas to the saucepan and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bananas are caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and brown sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
5. Press the flour mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
6. Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool completely.
7. In a separate bowl, mix together the milk and condensed milk until well combined.
8. Spread the vanilla ice cream over the cooled crust in an even layer.
9. Pour the banana syrup mixture over the ice cream layer.
10. Freeze the cake for at least 4 hours or until set.
11. Serve the Banana Foster Ice Cream Cake chilled and enjoy!
