Beef and Red Wine Stew
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of beef, cubed
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of red wine
- 2 cups of beef broth
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the onion and garlic and cook for another 5 minutes.
4. Pour in the red wine and beef broth and bring to a boil.
5. Add the thyme, bay leaf, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce.
6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
8. Serve hot with a side of crusty bread. Enjoy!
