Beef Bone Broth
Ingredients:
-2-3 lbs of beef bones
-3 carrots, chopped
-3 celery stalks, chopped
-2 onions, chopped
-2 leeks, chopped
-2 tablespoons of fresh herbs (such as thyme, oregano, rosemary, etc.)
-Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Place beef bones on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes.
3. In a large pot, add the roasted bones, carrots, celery, onions, leeks, herbs, salt, and pepper.
4. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
5. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 4-6 hours, skimming off any foam that rises to the surface.
6. Strain the broth through a fine mesh sieve and discard the solids.
7. Allow the broth to cool before transferring to containers for storage.
