Recipe: Brazilian Cheese Bread (Pão de Queijo)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of tapioca flour (massa)
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (pimenta)
- 2 cups of grated cheese (queijo)
- 2 eggs
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
2. In a saucepan, combine the milk, oil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
3. Remove from heat and add the tapioca flour, stirring until well combined.
4. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the cheese and eggs. Mix until smooth.
5. Using a spoon, fill each muffin cup with the batter.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
