Caramel Brownies

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.

3. In a large bowl, beat eggs until light and fluffy. Add cooled butter and sugar mixture and mix until combined. Add vanilla extract and mix until combined.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

5. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving. Enjoy!
