Recipe: Cheesy Beef Ravioli Bake
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 24 oz cheese ravioli (fresh or frozen)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
3. Season the beef with garlic powder, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
4. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet with the beef and stir to combine. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
5. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the ravioli according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
6. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the beef and marinara mixture on the bottom.
7. Layer half of the cooked ravioli on top of the beef mixture in the baking dish.
8. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the ravioli.
9. Repeat the layers with the remaining beef mixture, ravioli, and cheeses.
10. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
11. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
12. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired, before serving.
