Make Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole
Recipe Name: Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of rice
- 1 lb of chicken breast, diced
- 1 cup of shredded cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tomato, diced
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup of pasta
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
3. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat and sauté the diced chicken until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil and sauté the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic until softened.
5. Add the diced tomato and cooked chicken back to the skillet. Season with salt and cook for a few more minutes.
6. Cook the pasta according to package instructions and drain.
7. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, chicken and vegetable mixture, cooked pasta, and shredded cheese. Mix well.
8. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
9. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
10. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
