- Water for boiling pasta
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add the salt to the boiling water.
2. Once the water is boiling, add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
3. While the pasta is cooking, grate or shred the cheese if not already done.
4. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it in a colander and return it to the pot.
5. Immediately add the shredded cheese to the hot pasta. Stir well until the cheese melts and coats the pasta evenly.
6. If the cheese doesn't melt completely, you can place the pot back on low heat and stir until fully melted.
