Make Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies


- 1 cup of butter, softened
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.

3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips.

4. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.

5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
