Ingredients:
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 225°F (110°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a clean, dry mixing bowl, beat the egg whites on medium speed until foamy.
3. Gradually add the sugar, a little at a time, while continuing to beat the egg whites.
4. Increase the speed to high and beat until stiff peaks form and the meringue is glossy.
5. Spoon or pipe the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet in desired shapes.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the meringues are dry and crisp.
7. Turn off the oven and let the meringues cool completely inside the oven before removing.
