Recipe Name: Empanadas de Carne
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of Harina de trigo
- 1 pound of carne molida
- 1 packet of levadura
- 1/2 cup of mantequilla
- 1/4 cup of crema de leche
- 4 oz of queso crema
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Harina de trigo, levadura, and mantequilla. Mix until crumbly.
2. Slowly add water and knead the dough until smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
3. In a separate pan, cook the carne molida until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
5. Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of carne molida and a small piece of queso crema in the center of each circle.
6. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
7. Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. Brush the tops of the empanadas with crema de leche.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
