Make Espresso Banana Paper Parfait
Recipe Name: Espresso Banana Paper Parfait
Ingredients:
- 1 shot of espresso
- 2 ripe bananas
- 4 sheets of edible rice paper
- 1 cup of whipped cream
- 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
- Chocolate shavings (for garnish)
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Brew a shot of espresso using your preferred method. Set it aside to cool.
2. Peel and slice the bananas into thin rounds. Place them in a bowl and drizzle with the cooled espresso. Toss gently to coat the banana slices. Let them marinate for about 5 minutes.
3. Take one sheet of edible rice paper and cut it into small squares or circles, depending on your preference. Repeat this step with the remaining rice paper sheets.
4. In serving glasses or bowls, start layering the parfait. Begin with a layer of marinated banana slices, followed by a layer of whipped cream. If desired, drizzle a little honey over the whipped cream for added sweetness.
5. Place a square or circle of rice paper on top of the whipped cream layer. Repeat the layering process with the bananas, whipped cream, and rice paper until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream.
6. Garnish the top of each parfait with a sprinkle of chocolate shavings.
7. Place the parfaits in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together and the rice paper to soften slightly.
8. Serve chilled and enjoy your Espresso Banana Paper Parfait!
Note: The rice paper adds a unique texture to this dessert, but if you prefer a softer consistency, you can skip the rice paper and layer the ingredients directly in the serving glasses.
