Make Fennel and Speck Frittata
Recipe Name: Fennel and Speck Frittata
Ingredients:
- 1 fennel bulb (finocchi), thinly sliced
- 100g speck, diced
- 4 eggs (uova)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (parmigiano)
- 2 carrots (carote), grated
- 2 potatoes (patate), boiled and diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced fennel and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the diced speck to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until it starts to brown.
4. In a bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Add the grated carrots and diced potatoes to the skillet with the fennel and speck. Stir to combine.
6. Pour the egg mixture over the ingredients in the skillet, making sure everything is evenly distributed.
7. Cook on the stovetop for 3-4 minutes until the edges start to set.
8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the frittata is set and golden brown on top.
9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
