Fluffy Homemade Pancakes

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Optional toppings: maple syrup, fresh fruit, chocolate chips, nuts, etc.

Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and then stir in the milk and melted butter.
3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. It's okay if there are a few lumps in the batter.
4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
7. Serve the pancakes warm with your choice of toppings like maple syrup, fresh fruit, chocolate chips, or nuts.
