Recipe: Frango à Brasileira
Ingredients:
- 4 ovos
- 500g frango, diced
- 1 cebola, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tomates, diced
- 200g massa (pasta)
- 1 cup arroz (rice)
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 1 tbsp açúcar (sugar)
- 2 tbsp farinha de trigo (all-purpose flour)
- 1 cup leite (milk)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, beat the eggs and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, sauté the chicken and onions until cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Add the diced tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.
4. Cook the pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
5. In a separate pot, cook the rice as per package instructions.
6. In a small skillet, caramelize the sliced bananas with sugar until golden brown.
7. In a saucepan, make a roux by melting the flour in a little oil, then slowly whisk in the milk until thickened.
8. To serve, plate the cooked pasta and rice, top with the chicken mixture, drizzle with the milk sauce, and garnish with the caramelized bananas.
