Make Frango com Arroz e Feijão
Recipe Name: Frango com Arroz e Feijão
Ingredients:
- 500g frango (chicken), cut into pieces
- 2 cups rice
- 1 can of black beans
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 cup chopped kale
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
2. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
3. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, paprika, and turmeric. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly with the spices.
4. Add the diced tomatoes and sliced red bell pepper to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables soften.
5. Pour in 2 cups of water and bring to a simmer. Cover the skillet and let the chicken cook for about 20 minutes or until fully cooked.
6. Meanwhile, in a separate pot, cook the rice according to package instructions.
7. Once the chicken is cooked, add the can of black beans (drained and rinsed) to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
8. Add the sliced tomato and chopped kale to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
9. Serve the chicken mixture over a bed of rice and sprinkle with shredded cheese on top.
