Make Frango com Queijo e Legumes
Recipe Name: Frango com Queijo e Legumes
Ingredients:
- 500g frango (chicken), cut into pieces
- 200g queijo (cheese), grated
- 1 cebola (onion), chopped
- 3 dentes de alho (garlic cloves), minced
- 2 tomates (tomatoes), diced
- Sal (salt) to taste
- Pimenta do reino (black pepper) to taste
- 1 pimentão (bell pepper), sliced
- 1 colher de sopa de colorau (paprika)
- 1 colher de chá de açafrão (turmeric)
- 1 tomate (tomato), sliced
- 1 couve (kale), chopped
- Azeite (olive oil) for cooking
- Purê (mashed potatoes) for serving
Instructions:
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
2. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
3. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, paprika, and turmeric. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly.
4. Add the diced tomatoes, sliced bell pepper, and sliced tomato to the skillet. Stir to combine all ingredients.
5. Cover the skillet and let the chicken cook for about 15-20 minutes or until fully cooked.
6. Once the chicken is cooked, sprinkle the grated cheese over the top and cover the skillet again. Let the cheese melt over the chicken.
7. In a separate pan, heat some olive oil and sauté the chopped kale until wilted.
8. Serve the chicken with melted cheese on top, accompanied by sautéed kale and mashed potatoes on the side.
