Make Frango com Queijo e Legumes
Recipe Name: Frango com Queijo e Legumes
Ingredients:
- 500g frango (chicken), cut into pieces
- 200g queijo (cheese), grated
- 1 cebola (onion), chopped
- 3 dentes de alho (garlic cloves), minced
- 2 tomates (tomatoes), diced
- Sal (salt) and pimenta do reino (black pepper) to taste
- 1 pimentão (bell pepper), sliced
- 1 colher de chá de colorau (paprika)
- 1 colher de chá de açafrão (turmeric)
- 1 tomate (tomato), sliced
- 1 couve (cabbage), shredded
- Azeite (olive oil) for cooking
- Batata (potato), sliced
Instructions:
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
4. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, paprika, and turmeric. Mix well.
5. Add the diced tomatoes, bell pepper, sliced tomato, and shredded cabbage to the skillet. Stir to combine.
6. Cover the skillet and let the ingredients simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
7. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top of the chicken and vegetables.
8. Cover the skillet again and let the cheese melt.
9. In a separate pan, fry the sliced potatoes until golden brown and crispy.
10. Serve the chicken and vegetable mixture with the crispy potatoes on the side.
