Ingredients:
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 2 cups water
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil
Instructions:
1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain and set aside.
2. In a medium-sized pot, heat the oil over medium heat.
3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Add the diced tomato to the pot and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes start to soften.
5. Add the rice to the pot and stir to combine with the garlic and tomato mixture.
6. Pour in the water and season with salt to taste.
7. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
8. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and serve hot.
