Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Optional toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, everything bagel seasoning
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, honey, and salt. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the warm water and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
5. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a bagel shape, making a hole in the center.
6. Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with water. If desired, sprinkle your choice of toppings on the bagels.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bagels are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
