Homemade Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 large egg
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and yeast.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm water and egg.
3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
4. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
5. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth.
6. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
7. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
8. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
9. Place the loaf on a greased baking sheet.
10. Bake for 30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown.
11. Let the bread cool before slicing. Enjoy!
