Make Homemade Takis

Recipe: Homemade Takis

Ingredients:
- 1 cup masa harina
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Lime juice (optional)

Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the masa harina, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix well.
2. Slowly add water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. It should be pliable and not too sticky.
3. Take a small piece of the dough and roll it out into a thin strip, resembling the shape of a Takis chip.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
5. Carefully place the dough strip into the hot oil and fry until crispy and golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
6. Remove the fried Takis from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
7. If desired, sprinkle some lime juice over the Takis for extra flavor.
8. Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
9. Let the Takis cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your homemade Takis!
