Honey Water Yeast Bread
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of warm water
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
- 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions:
1. In a medium bowl, combine the warm water, honey, and yeast. Stir until the yeast is dissolved. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
2. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
3. Stir the ingredients together until a soft dough forms.
4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes.
5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
6. Punch down the dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 5 minutes.
7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 30 minutes.
8. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
9. Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
10. Let the bread cool before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
