Make IKEA Köttbullar Lasagne
Recipe: IKEA Köttbullar Lasagne
Ingredients:
- 1 package of IKEA Köttbullar (Swedish meatballs)
- 9 lasagne sheets
- 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups of marinara sauce
- 1 cup of béchamel sauce
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion, and sauté until they become translucent and fragrant.
3. Add the IKEA Köttbullar to the skillet and cook them according to the package instructions. Once cooked, set them aside.
4. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and cook the lasagne sheets according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
5. In a small saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over low heat until warmed through.
6. In another saucepan, heat the béchamel sauce over low heat until warmed through.
7. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
8. Place 3 lasagne sheets on top of the sauce, covering the bottom of the dish.
9. Spread half of the cooked IKEA Köttbullar evenly over the lasagne sheets.
10. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the meatballs.
11. Pour half of the béchamel sauce over the cheese layer.
12. Repeat steps 8 to 11 to create another layer of lasagne sheets, meatballs, cheese, and béchamel sauce.
13. Finish with a final layer of lasagne sheets, and spread the remaining marinara sauce over the top.
14. Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the lasagne.
15. Sprinkle dried oregano, salt, and pepper on top for added flavor.
16. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
17. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
18. Once cooked, remove the lasagne from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
19. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
20. Slice and serve the IKEA Köttbullar Lasagne while it's still warm and enjoy!
Note: You can serve this delicious lasagne with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
