Cake:

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Frosting:

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup cocoa powder
3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toppings:

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup mini marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup chopped apricots
1/2 cup chopped figs
1/2 cup chopped pineapple

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.

4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.

7. To make the frosting, cream together the butter and cocoa powder until light and fluffy. Slowly add in the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.

8. Spread the frosting onto the cooled cake.

9. Sprinkle the cake with the chocolate chips, walnuts, coconut, almonds, marshmallows, pecans, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, white chocolate chips, dried cranberries, chopped dates, apricots, figs, and pineapple.
