Make Jamaican Chicken Liver and Rice
Jamaican Chicken Liver and Rice
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of cooked white rice
- 1 lb chicken liver
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups callaloo, chopped
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions:
1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the chicken liver and cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
4. Add the allspice, thyme, black pepper, and salt and stir to combine.
5. Add the callaloo and water and bring to a boil.
6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
7. Serve the chicken liver and callaloo over the cooked white rice. Enjoy!
