Lamb and Rice Pilaf
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cups uncooked white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions:
1. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground lamb and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
2. Stir in the cumin and pepper and cook for 1 minute.
3. Add the rice and stir to combine.
4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Remove the lid and stir in the chopped basil. Cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
6. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve. Enjoy!
