Make Lemon Herb Roasted Chicken
Recipe Name: Lemon Herb Roasted Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken (about 4-5 pounds)
- 2 lemons
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Rinse the chicken inside and out, then pat dry with paper towels.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, olive oil, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, salt, and pepper.
4. Cut one lemon in half and squeeze the juice over the chicken. Place the squeezed lemon halves inside the cavity of the chicken.
5. Rub the garlic and herb mixture all over the chicken, making sure to coat it evenly.
6. Cut the other lemon into slices and place them around the chicken in the roasting pan.
7. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden brown and crispy.
8. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
