Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 100g sugar
- 100g cake flour
- 1 tbsp matcha green tea powder
- 200ml heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- Matcha powder for dusting
Step by Step Guide:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy.
3. Sift in the cake flour and matcha green tea powder, and gently fold into the egg mixture until well combined.
4. Pour the batter onto the prepared baking tray and spread it out evenly.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cake is springy to the touch.
6. While the cake is baking, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until stiff peaks form.
7. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
8. Carefully flip the cake onto a clean kitchen towel and peel off the parchment paper.
9. Spread the whipped cream evenly over the cake, leaving a small border around the edges.
10. Gently roll up the cake from one short end to the other, using the kitchen towel to help you roll.
11. Place the rolled cake on a serving platter and dust with matcha powder.
12. Slice and serve the Matcha Green Tea Swiss Roll. Enjoy!
