Make Molokhia with Cheese
Recipe Name: Molokhia with Cheese
Ingredients:
- 500g frozen molokhia leaves
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 200g feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges (for serving)
- Cooked rice or bread (for serving)
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
2. Add the frozen molokhia leaves to the pot and stir well. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add the ground coriander, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir to combine all the ingredients.
4. Let the molokhia simmer for another 10-15 minutes, until it reaches a thick consistency.
5. Add the crumbled feta cheese to the pot and stir gently to incorporate it into the molokhia.
6. Remove the pot from the heat and serve the molokhia hot with cooked rice or bread.
7. Garnish with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the molokhia before eating.
