Recipe: Mongolian Style Beef Stew

Ingredients:
- 500g beef, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup water

Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
3. Add the beef cubes and brown on all sides.
4. Stir in the cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
5. Add the carrots, potatoes, bay leaves, and beef broth.
6. Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
7. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 1.5 hours or until the beef is tender.
8. Adjust seasoning if needed.
9. Serve hot with steamed rice or bread.
