Make Mutton Biryani

Mutton Biryani

Ingredients:

- 2 cups of long grain rice
- 500g of mutton, cubed
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons of garam masala
- 2 tablespoons of cumin
- 2 tablespoons of coriander
- 2 tablespoons of turmeric
- 2 tablespoons of chilli powder
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 tablespoons of yoghurt
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of chopped coriander
- Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat.

2. Add the onions and cook until golden brown.

3. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for a few minutes.

4. Add the mutton and cook until lightly browned.

5. Add the garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, chilli powder and salt and cook for a few minutes.

6. Add the yoghurt and lemon juice and mix well.

7. Add the rice and bay leaves and mix well.

8. Add enough water to cover the rice and bring to a boil.

9. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.

10. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
