Recipe Name: Onion Rice
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups of water
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain and set aside.
2. In a pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
3. Add the rinsed rice to the pot and stir for a minute to toast the rice slightly.
4. Pour in the water and add salt to taste. Bring to a boil.
5. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the rice simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked.
6. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
