- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Step by Step Guide:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook until the garlic is golden brown and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with the chopped parsley. Toss well to coat the spaghetti with the garlic-infused oil.
4. If the pasta seems dry, add some of the reserved pasta water a little at a time to create a silky sauce.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
