Ingredients:
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 6 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Step by Step Guide:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook until the garlic is golden brown and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss well to coat the spaghetti with the oil. If the pasta seems dry, add some of the reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
4. Season the spaghetti with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in the chopped parsley and toss everything together.
5. Serve the spaghetti aglio e olio hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
