Recipe Name: Spicy Chicken Biryani

Ingredients:
- 2 cups Basmati rice
- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 red chilli, chopped
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1/2 cup yoghurt
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Step by Step Guide:
1. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with yoghurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chilli, green chilli, salt, and garam masala. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
3. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil and add the sliced onions. Saute until golden brown.
4. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until the chicken is browned.
5. Add the potatoes, cumin seeds, and coriander powder. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
6. Add the soaked rice and mix gently to combine with the chicken and potatoes.
7. Pour enough water to cover the rice and chicken mixture. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer until the rice is cooked and the chicken is tender.
8. Once cooked, fluff the biryani with a fork and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot with raita or salad.
