Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the egg yolks and mix well until fully incorporated.
4. Gradually add the flour to the mixture and mix until a dough forms.
5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
6. Use your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each cookie.
7. Fill each indentation with a small spoonful of strawberry jam.
8. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
9. Gently brush the egg whites over the edges of the cookies.
10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
11. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
