Neapolitan Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to the highest temperature (usually around 500°F or higher) and place a pizza stone or upside-down baking sheet in the oven to heat up.
2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a circle, about 12 inches in diameter.
3. Place the rolled out dough on a piece of parchment paper.
4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
5. Arrange the sliced mozzarella on top of the sauce.
6. Tear the fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the pizza.
7. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top and season with salt and pepper.
8. Carefully slide the parchment paper with the pizza onto the hot pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven.
9. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
10. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy your delicious Neapolitan pizza!
