Parmigiana with Kren, Carrots, Hard Cheese, Rice, and Salami
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Kren (horseradish)
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 2 cups grated hard cheese (such as Parmesan or Romano)
- 4 ounces salami, diced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the carrots and Kren and cook for another 5 minutes.
4. Add the cooked rice, tomato sauce, and salt and pepper to the skillet and mix until combined.
5. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Top with the grated cheese and diced salami.
6. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Serve hot. Enjoy!
