Pasta with Tomato, Basilic, Herbs and Green Beans
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces of pasta
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cups of diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of fresh basil, chopped
- 1 teaspoon of dried herbs (oregano, thyme, etc.)
- 1 cup of green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1/2 cup of grated cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions.
2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the tomatoes, basil, and herbs and cook for another 5 minutes.
4. Add the green beans and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
5. Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet. Stir to combine.
6. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the top and season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Serve hot. Enjoy!
