Recipe: Pierogi with Meat

Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 lb ground meat (beef, pork, or chicken)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for frying

Step by Step Guide:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the egg, sour cream, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms.
2. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
3. In a skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and let cool.
4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out circles using a cookie cutter or a glass.
5. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
6. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pierogi in batches for about 3-4 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
7. In a separate skillet, melt some butter over medium heat. Fry the boiled pierogi in batches until golden brown on both sides.
8. Serve the pierogi hot with sour cream or your favorite dipping sauce.
