Carne con Arroz y Pimientos
Ingredients:
-1 pound of ground beef
-2 cups of uncooked white rice
-1 onion, diced
-2 cloves of garlic, minced
-1 bell pepper, diced
-1 jalapeno pepper, diced
-1 teaspoon of cumin
-1 teaspoon of chili powder
-1 teaspoon of oregano
-1 teaspoon of paprika
-1 teaspoon of salt
-1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
-1/4 cup of olive oil
-2 cups of water
Instructions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
3. Add the onion, garlic, bell pepper, and jalapeno pepper and cook until the vegetables are softened.
4. Add the cumin, chili powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper and stir to combine.
5. Add the uncooked rice and stir to combine.
6. Add the water and bring to a boil.
7. Reduce the heat to low and cover the skillet.
8. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through.
