Make Poulet Yassa with Feuille de Patates
Recipe Name: Poulet Yassa with Feuille de Patates
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, sliced
- 3 tomatoes, diced
- 2 piments (hot peppers), chopped
- 1 cup manioc, peeled and diced
- 1 cup patates d'arachide (peanut potatoes), peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup feuille de patates (sweet potato leaves), chopped
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 cube Maggi
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with the sliced onions, diced tomatoes, chopped piments, and cube Maggi. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
2. In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken mixture and cook until the chicken is browned on all sides.
3. Add the diced manioc and patates d'arachide to the pot. Stir well to combine with the chicken.
4. Pour in enough water to cover the chicken and vegetables. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
5. Add the chopped feuille de patates to the pot and stir well. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
6. Season with salt to taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
7. Serve the Poulet Yassa with Feuille de Patates hot with rice or couscous. Enjoy!
