Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 cup of mixed fresh fruits (such as berries, peaches, or apples)
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions.
3. In a bowl, mix the mixed fresh fruits with sugar and cornstarch until well combined.
4. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
5. Cut the puff pastry into squares or rectangles, depending on your preference.
6. Place a spoonful of the fruit mixture in the center of each pastry square.
7. Fold the edges of the pastry over the fruit, creating a rustic tart shape.
8. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
9. Place the pastries on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
