Recipe: Avocado and Sardine Toast

Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 can of sardines in olive oil
- 4 slices of whole grain bread
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: lemon juice, red pepper flakes, fresh herbs

Instructions:
1. Mash the ripe avocado in a bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste.
2. Toast the slices of whole grain bread until golden brown and crispy.
3. Drain the sardines from the olive oil and place them on top of the toasted bread.
4. Spread the mashed avocado on top of the sardines.
5. Optional: Squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the avocado and sprinkle with red pepper flakes or fresh herbs for extra flavor.
6. Serve the avocado and sardine toast immediately and enjoy!
