Recipe: Pan de Yema
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Step by Step Guide:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a baking sheet.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
3. Add the softened butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, milk, and vanilla extract.
5. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
6. Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into balls.
7. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
8. Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
10. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
11. Dust the pan de yema with powdered sugar before serving.
