Recipe: Spring Onion and Chinese Cabbage Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of spring onions
- 1 small Chinese cabbage
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Wash the spring onions and Chinese cabbage thoroughly. Cut the spring onions into 2-inch pieces and separate the white and green parts.
2. Cut the Chinese cabbage into bite-sized pieces, discarding the tough core.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
4. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Add the white parts of the spring onions and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
6. Add the Chinese cabbage to the pan and cook for another 3-4 minutes until it starts to wilt.
7. Stir in the green parts of the spring onions and continue cooking for another minute.
8. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and pepper to the pan. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
9. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are cooked but still slightly crisp.
10. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
11. Remove from heat and serve hot as a side dish or over steamed rice.
