Recipe: Vegan Ham and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of vegan ham
- 4 slices of vegan cheese
- 4 slices of whole grain bread
- 1 tablespoon vegan butter
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, mix together the vegan butter, maple syrup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a spread.
2. Spread the mixture onto one side of each slice of bread.
3. Place a slice of vegan ham and a slice of vegan cheese on top of the spread on two of the bread slices.
4. Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, spread side down.
5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
6. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
7. Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute before serving.
