Make Ricotta Cheese Stuffed Shells
Recipe Name: Ricotta Cheese Stuffed Shells
Ingredients:
- 1 box of jumbo pasta shells
- 2 cups of ricotta cheese
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups of marinara sauce
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
4. Spoon a generous amount of the cheese mixture into each cooked pasta shell and place them in the prepared baking dish.
5. Once all the shells are filled and arranged in the baking dish, pour the marinara sauce over the top, making sure to cover all the shells.
6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the cheese to brown slightly.
